Branding Meg & Josh's Wedding

As promised, I wanted to feature the branding aspect of Meg and Josh’s wedding on Lake Winnipesaukee. Meg and Josh were such a fun couple to work with and I could tell right from the start that their black lab Winni was very much a part of their lives. So it came as no surprise that Winni’s name came up in our initial consultation with Celeste Simpson of Impress Me Designs.

Before I go any further, I have to tell you that I cannot say enough about Celeste. From the first time I met her, we hit it off and I felt as if I had known her for years! She has a warm and friendly personality that anyone can immediately feel comfortable with. Her portfolio of individually custom handcrafted invitations is amazing and I just knew that she would be the perfect match for my clients!

I have to say that I truly believe that the invitation is the best place to start in order to set the tone and atmosphere for an event. From the moment your guests receive their invitation they have their first glimpse of what is to come. It is important for your invitation to convey both of your personalities and have a personalized touch that all of your guests will recognize. A great invitation can definitely create a buzz and that always makes for a great first impression! From an earlier conversation with Meg’s Dad, Chuck, I knew that he, too, felt the invitation was important to the wedding….after all, you want your guests to be excited about your wedding!

The invitation that Celeste created for Meg and Josh was definitely all that! Based on the initial consultation, Celeste created 3 sample invitations for Meg and Josh to choose from. The beautiful red, turquoise and shimmery white invitations were complemented by a graphic image of Winni that Celeste had created from a photograph that Meg had provided. Additional customization was complete when Celeste added a cameo embellishment depicting Winni’s face to the front closure of each invitation. To add even more excitement and anticipation of the wedding, the invitations were sent to each guest in a turquoise box mailer. Without a doubt, the guests knew just how special this wedding was going to be when they received their boxed invitation in the mail.

The graphical icon of Winni gleefully jumping off a lakeside dock was carried throughout not only their wedding stationery, but into the event’s décor. The icon branded the event in every way and was included in a custom ice sculpture, custom luminary bags, a gobo on the dance floor, the seating chart and an elegantly crafted etched brandy glass for their guests to take home as their wedding favor.

Creating an icon and finding that unique piece will bring cohesiveness to your event. It will also set a warm and inviting atmosphere for your guests to enjoy all while making your personalities shine through. After all, this day is about you!
